Ingredients
1 box (15.25 oz) Yellow Cake Mix
½ cup Vegetable Oil
¾ cup Water
4 Large Eggs
½ cup Sour Cream
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
½ cup Light Brown Sugar (packed)
2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamo
2 cups Powdered Sugar (confectioners’ sugar)
4 tablespoons Milk (any kind)
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Prepare your pan by preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C) and greasing a 9×13-inch baking pa
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, water, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth
- In a separate bowl, whisk together brown sugar and cinnamo
- Pour half the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, top with remaining batter, and finish with the remaining cinnamon-sugar
- Use a knife to swirl the batter gently
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clea
- Cool for 10-15 minutes in the pa
- In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze
- Pour glaze over the warm cake and let it cool completely in the pan for at least an hour before serving
Notes
For a smaller batch, halve the recipe and use an 8×8-inch baking pan.
