1 pound Day-old bread
6 Large eggs
2 cups Whole milk
1 cup Heavy cream
½ cup Pure maple syrup
¼ cup Granulated sugar
1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamo
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Pecans, chopped
2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Dish and Bread: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with melted butter and cut the bread into 1-inch cubes
  2. Toast the Pecans: Lightly toast chopped pecans in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes
  3. Whisk the Custard: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, maple syrup, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt
  4. Soak the Bread: Pour custard over bread and let it soak for at least 30 minutes
  5. Preheat Oven & Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F and sprinkle remaining pecans over the top
  6. Bake to Perfection: Bake for 45-60 minutes until golden brown and set
  7. Cool and Serve: Let cool for 15-20 minutes before serving
