2 Large Eggs
2 Large Egg Yolks
1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
Pinch Salt
2 tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Generously butter four 6-ounce ramekins. Dust with cocoa powder and set aside
  2. Combine chopped dark chocolate and butter in a bowl and microwave until melted, stirring every 30 seconds
  3. In a bowl, whisk together whole eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar until pale and thickened
  4. Slowly pour the melted chocolate and butter mixture into the egg mixture and whisk until combined
  5. Fold in all-purpose flour and salt until just mixed
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them about three-quarters full
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are set and center is soft
  8. Let rest for 1-2 minutes before inverting onto a plate to serve

Notes

Do not overbake as this will turn the lava cake into a regular cake.
