Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and prepare a 9-inch springform pa
- Chop Oreos for the brownie base and crush Oreos for the cheesecake layer
- Mix melted butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl, then add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla
- In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then combine with wet ingredients and fold in chopped Oreos
- Bake brownie layer for 18-20 minutes until edges are set
- Beat cream cheese until smooth, add sugar gradually, then eggs one at a time, followed by sour cream and vanilla
- Fold in crushed Oreos and pour cheesecake batter over the baked brownie base
- Optionally, wrap the pan with foil and place it in a larger pan filled with water for a water bath
- Bake for 60-75 minutes until edges are set and center jiggles slightly
- Cool the cheesecake in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 6-8 hours before serving
- Garnish with chopped Oreos and drizzle with chocolate sauce if desired
