Ingredients
1 box (18.3 oz) Brownie mix, plus ingredients called for on box (oil, eggs, water) OR your favorite homemade brownie recipe
1 cup Granulated sugar
¼ cup Water
6 tablespoons Unsalted butter, cut into pieces
2 cups Heavy cream, very cold
½ cup Powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon Sea salt flakes, plus extra for garnish
½ cup Heavy cream
Instructions
- Prepare the brownies according to package or recipe directions, cool, and cut into 1-inch cubes
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium-high heat until amber, then whisk in butter, heavy cream, and sea salt after removing from heat
- In a mixing bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form
- Layer brownie cubes, salted caramel, and whipped cream in a clear trifle bowl three times
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving
