1 cup Granulated sugar
¼ cup Water
6 tablespoons Unsalted butter, cut into pieces
2 cups Heavy cream, very cold
½ cup Powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon Sea salt flakes, plus extra for garnish
½ cup Heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brownies according to package or recipe directions, cool, and cut into 1-inch cubes
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium-high heat until amber, then whisk in butter, heavy cream, and sea salt after removing from heat
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form
  4. Layer brownie cubes, salted caramel, and whipped cream in a clear trifle bowl three times
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving
