Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set this aside
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients alternately with the milk
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between each cookie
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set
  8. Allow to cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
